Today’s Diet: 2011-10-24

I keep this food and fitness diary to stay aware of just how many calories I’m eating daily, my weight, and blood pressure with the hope that seeing these numbers repeatedly and often decreases the likelihood that I’ll overeat.    It seems to work, so here we go with another day…

Weight Log

Today’s weight: 176.0 pounds.  That’s down a pound from yesterday and again, establishes a new low weight record for 2011.  The 2011 year low weight so far: 176.0 pounds (established on 2011-10-24). The high weight is 185.5 pounds (established on 2011-04-13).

Food Log

Today, I consumed the following items:

  • Herbal tea throughout the day. 0 calories.
  • 09:45 AM: 1 heaping tablespoon of Metamucil in water for cholesterol control.  60 calories.
  • 11:30 AM: 2 cups of Dole orange banana pineapple juice.  280 calories.
  • 12:00 PM: 1 batch of buckwheat pancakes with pure maple syrup (left over from yesterday).  1200 calories.
  • 02:00 PM: 1 heaping tablespoon of Metamucil in water for cholesterol control.  60 calories.
  • 02:15 PM: 2 cups of orange juice.  220 calories.
  • 02:30 PM: 1 cup of organic skim milk.  80 calories.
  • 06:00 PM: 1 large bowl of steamed broccoli with olive oil and Parmesan cheese.  300 calories.
  • 06:10 PM: Mrs. Paul’s beer batter fish fillets.  1050 calories.
  • 06:15 AM: 2 cups of Dole orange banana pineapple juice.  280 calories.
  • 06:15 PM: 1 multivitamin.  0 calories.
  • 09:00 PM: 1 banana.  125 calories.
  • 09:30 PM: 1 heaping tablespoon of Metamucil in water for cholesterol control.  60 calories.

Total calories: 3615
