Today’s Diet: 2011-10-29

I keep this food and fitness diary to stay aware of just how many calories I’m eating daily, my weight, and blood pressure with the hope that seeing these numbers repeatedly and often decreases the likelihood that I’ll overeat.    It seems to work, so here we go with another day…

Weight Log

Today’s weight: 176.0 pounds.  That’s unchanged from yesterday.  The 2011 year low weight so far: 176.0 pounds (established on 2011-10-24). The high weight is 185.5 pounds (established on 2011-04-13).

Food Log

Today, I consumed the following items:

  • Herbal tea throughout the day. 0 calories.
  • 11:00 AM: 1 heaping tablespoon of Metamucil in water for cholesterol control.  60 calories.
  • 12:30 PM: 1 large bowl of bean and ham soup with cream cheese.  1200 calories.
  • 02:40 PM: 1 cup of orange juice.  110 calories.
  • 04:00 PM: 2 grilled cheese sandwiches on rye bread.  600 calories.
  • 09:00 PM: 1 cup of dry oatmeal with Parmesan cheese.  400 calories.
  • 09:15 PM: 2 cups of orange juice.  220 calories.
  • 09:30 PM: 1 heaping tablespoon of Metamucil in water for cholesterol control.  60 calories.

Total calories: 2650
