I keep this food and fitness diary to stay aware of just how many calories I’m eating daily, my weight, and blood pressure with the hope that seeing these numbers repeatedly and often decreases the likelihood that I’ll overeat. It seems to work, so here we go with another day…

Today’s weight: 181.0 pounds. That’s up a pound from yesterday. The 2011 year low weight so far: 176.0 pounds (established on 2011-10-24). The high weight is 185.5 pounds (established on 2011-04-13).

- Herbal tea throughout the day. 0 calories.
- 10:00 AM: 2 cups of grapefruit. 200 calories.
- 01:00 PM: 2 cups of fresh peaches. 100 calories.
- 04:50 PM: 1 bowl of homemade vegetable beef soup. 300 calories.
- 05:00 PM: 1 serving of Greek yogurt. 150 calories.
- 08:00 PM: 4 slices of rye toast with black raspberry jam and margarine. 600 calories.
- 10:30 PM: 1 cup of pear chunks with blackberry and acai juices (Del Monte Superfruit). 120 calories.
Total calories: 1470
