09:15 AM: Worked out on the treadmill for a half hour, walking and jogging approximately 2.0 miles and burning off roughly 330 calories, for walk 101 in 2011. I listen to CNN while jogging to help pass the time more quickly.
02:15 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless via the DVR.
04:30 PM: Cleaned up the kitchen in preparation for [Emmy's] arrival later this week. I washed all dishes, vacuumed, mopped up, and dusted. I’ll work on the rest of the first floor tomorrow.
05:00 PM: Watched today’s episode of Dr. Phil via the DVR, called Get Divorced or Get Even.
07:30 PM: Watched tonight’s episode of NBC’s Nightly News via the DVR.
10:00 PM: Tagged, normalized, added, and updated approximately 373 songs from this and previous years to my music library from Promo Only throughout today. Additionally, I found and removed some duplicates. I now have 2483 songs from 2011 cataloged.
08:00 PM: Talked with [Emmy].
11:55 PM: Watched the second half of the movie Mrs. Doubtfire via Netflix. I love seeing so many of my all-time favorite movies in high definition. It’s like seeing them for the first time all over.
12:05 AM: The daily traffic stats from yesterday for my blogs. The monthly keyword hit count for this run is 804, up from 796 at last check. The record high for this dimension remains at 1788. The next goal: 2000.

Received Mail and Shipments
- Electricity bill.
- A letter from the nursing home in response to Mom’s hospitalization on 2011-11-29. They’ll hold her bed for her for up to fifteen days. Not an issue however, as she was discharged back to the nursing home this morning.
- Another letter from the nursing home; this one letting us know that if we want to be fed when visiting Mom on Christmas Day or New Years day, that we must make those arrangements with the staff at least one business day prior to the subject holiday. No problem.
- An offer from our electricity company to have installed a programmable thermostat that they can control, as part of their over all energy management strategy. I told them NO before, fearing that they’d be turning off my air conditioning too much during the hottest times of the year. However, I may reconsider if they provide a way to bypass this control feature if needed.
- Promo Only’s Country Radio music series; the 2012-01 edition. This month will be the last month I receive CDs in the mail. As of February of 2012, I cease getting my music via CD, and have opted instead for the Internet download option.
- Newspaper-style coupons and advertisements.
