effective ramp width (that which is useable by a wheelchair) of all runs
and landings is 36’’.

total width of the ramp, counting hand rails, is 40’’.
Remarks
- We
need landing 1 for two reasons: First, this landing interfaces with the
east porch steps and provides people on foot access to the porch, which
would otherwise be blocked by the ramp.
It appears to be less work to do this landing than to move the steps
around to the east side of the east porch.
Secondly, no run may be longer than 30 Ft. So this landing breaks up what would
have been an excessively long run of 35 to 38 Ft., into two shorter runs
(run 1 and run 2), which are both less than 30 Ft. long.
